I hit forget device by accident with my Apple Pencil 1st gen and now it won’t do anything or show up as a device

You need to pair it again like the first time.
Remove the cap, and plug the lightning connector into the adapter and the then plug the iPad's charge cable into the iPad and the other side of the adapter.

Make sure you are using the correct adapter. The Pencil comes with a Lightning adapter that won't work.
You need to use the specific adapter meant for pairing.
Also, try restarting the iPad and then pairing the pencil.

I’ve tried that multiple times and it still shows nothing I don’t know what else to try.
