Installed https://www.malwarebytes.com/ as per advise of @ Randall_2023 User , no malwarebytes found but half of my files disappear..Scanning results were 100% clean,so I don't understand why I can see my documents and files. All files from desktop,documents,etc . I need urgent assistance to resolve this .This shouldn't happen .Mac Sequoia 15.1

Restart this Mac into Safe Mode, and check again.
Then contact MalwareBytes support.
Assuming removing the app and booting into Safe Mode and then MalwareBytes support doesn’t (can’t) resolve this, restore your backups from prior to the add-on security app install.
I’m not a big proponent of add-on security apps (other than for endpoint security, where that is required), and this possibly contrary to what Randall_2023 might suggest.

If you use iCloud Drive, check or fiddle its Desktop & Documents settings.
