when the output format is set to Dolby atamos it plays no vocals in the speaker just some backdrop music on and off .

when I change the sound output format to 5.1 Dolby digital . It’s plays normally . I’ve changed hdmi wires , update Apple TV , checked all setting 100 times . But it just dsnt work . I have a fire stick that plays Dolby atamos on my speaker with the same wire set up . Nobody seems to understand the issue . Pls help

Is your setup connected as: Apple TV box →[HDMI]→ TV →[HDMI eARC]→ soundbar ?

Does the TV have eARC? Is that HDMI port activated for eARC use (regular ARC may be default)? Regular ARC is not enough for Apple TV’s Dolby Atmos output.

For TVs without eARC, there is an add-on solution: HDMI eARC adapter (e.g. this one or this one).

Be sure to set the Apple TV to output audio to the TV over HDMI. Then set the TV to passthrough audio to the soundbar.

Apple TV’s Dolby Atmos output would be in Dolby MAT format (like PCM), so soundbars would need to support that, else it won’t work. Ask the manufacturer’s support staff if unsure/not documented.
