Stuttering playback with Apple Music playback on HomePod 2 when initiated from M3 MacBook Pro

Hi,

sometimes when I work with my MacBook Pro I like listen Apple Music through a pair of Homepods.

If I play music from MacBook Pro to internal speakers or AirPods Pro 2 everything works fine.

If I play music from iPad, iPhone, AppleTV to Homepods everything works fine.

If I play music from MacBook Pro to Homepods there is often interference or “choppy music”.

MacBook Pro (M3 Pro / Sequoia 15.1)

Homepods 2 (update 18.1)

All other devices are updated

My wifi works perfectly with every devices (MacBook Pro, iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, etc.) and any purpose.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Hi to everyone,

a little update: I've just discovered that if (with my MBP) I share audio to HomePods by Control center the problem persists... but if I share audio to HomePods by Music app all work perfectly! The only annoyance is that if I want to control the volume I have to do it from the Music app instead of with the MBP volume keys.

I think there might be a bug (which persists from different versions of MacOS).
