How do you get your device unbanned from Snapchat?

You are posting to the wrong company. Apple did not ban the device, SnapChat did. There is nothing Apple will be able to do to resolve the problem you are having with SnapChat. I can direct you to the appropriate help page for SnapChat.

This is a user-to-user forum. You are not speaking to Apple here.

Only Snapchat has the power to ban or unban your device. If you bought this phone second-hand, SnapChat might have banned it due to the actions of a previous owner, but that does not necessarily mean that they will unban it for you. The seller might well have known that the phone was banned – and that might have been the reason they wanted to get rid of it.

Apple is not blocking you from SnapChat, that can only be done by SnapChat and they may even choose not to remove the lock and there is nothing you or Apple can do about it. It is their service and they have every right to choose who they want to allow on their platform.

To provide some context: This question, this answer, and my answer were originally part of a very long thread. I see that they are now in a 1-page-thread. Presumably the Moderators moved the sub-thread. When Mac Jim ID wrote "Reading the information supplied here …", it made sense, since it was in the context of a long thread where the fact that only Snapchat can remove their bans had been discussed many times.

You presumably bought a used device… If that’s the case, you’re not going to get it un-banned.

In theory, Snapchat can remove the ban. In practice, they rarely do so.
