Trying to move a window makes it jump to fill the desktop

Every time I try to move an open window across my screen to make room for something else it jumps to fill the desktop. It doesn't go 'full screen' just expends to fill the whole desk top. I am trying to move it in the same way I always have - with the cursor clicked and held on the top bar of the window. I'm using Sequoia 15.1 and this is a new behaviour that only started with the last update. I didn't add or change anything else. It makes it almost impossible to get 2 or 3 windows open and well arranged at the same time on my desk top. Any ideas how to stop this please

OK. The only thing in my setting that was different was that I had not checked the, 'asked to keep changes when closing documents' tab. The, 'Drag windows to menu bar to fill screen' doesn't even exist in my settings & everything else was already off. BUT When I clicked the 'asked to keep changes when closing documents' tab all the other tabs moved to 'on' and I was able to turn them off and that seems to have fixed the problem!! I'm not sure I understand the how or why but Thank You Leroy. I would have never tried this without a prompt from you.
