My iCloud storage is full. How can I backup my phone without buying more storage?

I know I have too many photos, but don’t want to delete them.

You can back it up to a computer. Mac or PC.

ICloud says I don't have enough storage for backup! Please help, I have transferred all my photos to a USB. I can no longer access them on my iphone, yet Icloud says I still don't have enough storage to back up my iphone! Storage is also still showing that I have loads of photos on my phone though it's not obvious where! I've also deleted apps I rarely use, so how come I still don't have enough storage to back up on icloud Thanks

Iclouds photos I'm trying to back up my phone & purchase more storage, but unfortunately, I cant update my phone though I have space there. I need a solution
