My icons are jumping up and down and driving me crazy. When I searched for a solution, I was told to go to "System Preferences," but there is no way to see that on this Mac. I know it has changed to "System Settings," but still no luck in finding anything to kill these icons! Help!

What icons are "jumping up and down", Where?
Jumping up and down?
Do you mean when you launch an app the icon bounces or do you mean the dock is magnifying when you move your mouse across it?
When I open my Mac to do anything, icons from across the bottom of my screen pop up randomly.
