App store update message - 'Download an older version of Final Cut Pro?'

Hi, the app store is suggesting I update FCPx, when I press update I receive the message:

Download an older version of Final Cut Pro?

The current version requires macOS 14.6 or later, but you can download the last compatible version.

I have recently upgraded my OS to Ventura 13.7.1 which I believe is the latest, and my current version of FCPx is 10.6.8.

This doesn't make sense to me.

Any help, or explanation would be appreciated.

The current version is 11, which was released yesterday.

This version does require macOS 14.6 or later.

You have FCP 10.6.8. If you cannot or don't want to update the OS from 13.7.1 to (at least) 14.6, then

you can't update to version 11, but you *can* still update to 10.8.1, which is the latest that works in your OS.

That is the message you are getting.
