Bug in apple watch scrolling from face screen using crown

I can consistently replicate a bug in the Series 10 (GPS) Apple Watch with software version 11.1 (22R585) as follows:

  • First, pull down the notifications list by scrolling down with the crown.
  • Then, scroll back up with the crown until you "hit" the end and it doesn't let you go farther (I believe it should take you back to the face, but since the update I have to press the crown to exit the notifications)
  • Press the crown to return to the face/home screen
  • Attempt to scroll up with the crown to see your widgets. Instead, the screen instantly switches to the notification list without any transition, as if it was there all along.

Depending on your scrolling speed, you can get stuck in a cycle where the notification list just keeps popping up instead of letting you see your widgets.

One additional thing I found out is that this bug only happens if the digital crown is set to the left side. Whether the watch is on the left or right hand doesn't make a difference. Setting the crown to the right side makes the issue disappear---you can scroll back to the face from the notifications screen using the crown.
