Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad for MacBook Pro M1 Max

I got a new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad for my MacBook Pro M1 Max with MacOS 14.7 (23H124), as it was made for mac models with Apple Silicon, I bought at Apple Sydney store this week.

Connection was quick. Most keys working, the essential, close to none of the function keys working as should, finger print key not working at all, a lot of the other secondary keys are not acting as they should according to the manual. How hard could it be?

I have restarted the Mac many times after installation, disconnected the bluetooth to keyboard (forget this device and reconnect).

Magic Keyboard Not Working in-Full:

Incompatibility doesn't seem to be the culprit here. It seems you have a faulty device. So, return it. If it has been too long for a return, then see if they'll exchange it for free.

You are welcome.

Rather than wait out the time to get the replacement, I'd see if returning it is an option. Then, if desired, just get another one that way.
