I'm deaf in my left ear too, and I was really hoping that AirPods Pro 2 would have some type of cros functionality to transfer sounds from one side to the other side. Unfortunately Apple's site and all the reviews, how-to's, blogs, etc. that I have seen are either just silent on the topic or say that AirPods Pro 2 do not currently have the ability to do transfer sound from one side to the other.
I did find a blog (link below) which did indicate that even without cros functionality that AirPods Pro 2 were still helpful to people that can only hear out of one ear. It's a little bit frustrating because it seems like AirPods Pro 2 have all the pieces are parts necessary to do this, but on the other hand there are probably way more people with two-ear hearing issues (i.e. we are a much smaller market), AirPods Pro 2 will still to help to some extent, and in the future it would "only" take a software update to enable cros functionality (only in quotes because I am not a programmer and I have no idea how hard it would be to actually implement this...).
Anyway, here's the link and hope it's helpful: AirPods as Hearing Aids for Single Sided Deafness – The "Lucky" Brain Tumor
