Drivers for old Sony (blue) Memory Sticks

I purchased a mini card reader in order to transfer content from old Sony memory sticks for my Sony Digital Handicam and discovered that it even though the card reader provides a slot for the card, my Mac Studio can't read it. Before I return the reader, I want to confirm that I will not be able to download a driver for my Mac Studio to be able to read them.

Hi Jan, Thanks for your response. I'm working with Sony DCR-TRV17 NTSC Handycam Camera. I figured it out. The memory card reader I recently purchased was generic, made in China. I realized that it would never work with that memory stick since Sony discontinued using them so therefore no drivers to download. I found the manual and on it I wrote a message to myself indicating that the content on memory sticks can only be exported to a computer using a USB cable. It worked and it turned out to be pointless since the quality of the images and video on the memory sticks were really low quality (2005). Hope this helps someone else down the road.
