I have a few playlists in Music which I have created from songs from the Music cloud rather than from songs locally stored on my laptop or iPhone.
How can I sort these playlists by their BPM? is it possible at all?

Music (and iTunes) has never had the ability to do its own BPM analysis. I have heard no mention of them making this ability available, but you can suggest the idea at the product feedback link:

It would be valuable for DJs as well as dance and exercise enthusiasts.
Music on iOS has a few limited options for "Sort By," and BPM is not one of them. Sorry. As you know, you can do it in Music on a laptop, by putting the library in Songs view and clicking on the BPM column header.

When I open my playlists either in Music or iTunes on my laptop (Windows 10) there is indeed a BPM column but it is empty (shows 0 for all songs). It seems as if the BPM data is absent. I also tried using a few 3rd party BPM analyzer softwares but none of them were able to access these playlists as they are based on songs from the Apple Music cloud and all the songs in these playlists are DRM protected.
I'm wandering if there is a way for Apple to generate the BPM data for the songs in the Apple Music cloud so users would be able to use it for whatever purpose they wish, for example sorting a playlist by its songs' BPM...
