Share sheet not working with text messages

when i use the share sheet to share something to a text message nothing happens. the text isnt sent and it dowsnt show in the messages app. I’ve tried instagram and the ios photos app as well as others

content shared in iMessage not showing up after upgrading to IOS 18 Since I upgraded to IOS 18 some features on iMessage are not showing up on my 13Pro Max. When I click on any message name/ contact photo, Collaboration, Photos, Links and Documents no longer appear, so if I'm looking for something specific, I have to scroll up the chat. They are appearing on my iPad which was also updated to IOS. How do I fix this?
