Husband and I share same Apple ID
My husband and I share one Apple ID. In the beginning it was OK. But it has become increasingly difficult. Now whenever I text anyone, his picture shows up not mine and visa versa.

Apple does not recommend sharing your Apple ID with another person. The design is to make multiple devices for a single person work as if they are the same device. For example, you can start an email on one device and finish on the other or receive a message on one device and answer it on another.
