iPhone 13 - no power to logic board

iPhone 13 purchased new from Apple September 2023. Woke up yesterday to the phone completely dead, despite being on charge all night. Reset steps don't work, leaving it on change doesn't work. Took it to a repair specialist who confirmed there's no power going to the phone and the battery is fine. Suspect a logic board issue. They've offered to repair it and are just working out a price.

Given it's only 14 months old would Apple likely address the issue? I'm aware they are unlikely to replace the board.

I'm waiting for the price of the repair but unless its under £200 I'll likely have to buy another handset which is quite bad inside 14 months.

What country are you in? Apple’s warranty is one year for parts and labor for any manufactures defect in material and workmanship. In some countries it may have an additional year under consumer protection laws. The warranty is in effect if purchased from Apple or an Authorized Apple reseller. If purchased from a non-authorized reseller Apple does not warranty the product.

Unfortunately, at 14 months your product is a little far out of warranty in most cases. Where did you purchase the item and do you have the original receipt?

I'm in the UK, purchased direct from Apple and have the receipt. I spoke to them today and they want me to pay for the repair, didn't even give options available to me.

Appreciate I'm out of warranty but given it's only 6 weeks out of warranty for something that's clearly not accidental damage I'd have hoped for more willing.

If the ‘repair specialist’ you took it to is not an authorized apple service provider, they just rendered your phone untouchable by Apple.

Having Apple ‘address the issue’ is no longer an option for you now that the device has been tampered with. You should have taken it to Apple or an authorized service provider to begin with.

In store support can sometimes be different than online support. UK has multiple Apple Stores. Try talking to one of the managers and see what they say.
