Sharing Data from Existing iPhone Data Plan

Want to purchase a gen 10 iPad (wifi+cellular) to be used in part for streaming in an area where internet is not available. I live in Canada, & was surprised to find tablet plans offered by the major carriers are mostly limited to 5 GBs or less. Before I buy, I'm trying to find out if Koodo (my iPhone carrier) would allow me to use the tablet's eSim to add the iPad to my existing iPhone cellular plan. Don't see the answer anywhere, & the Koodo bot is no help. Anyone know the answer? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, that’s an alternative approach. I finally got through to a Koodo rep & they don’t allow sharing data. Some of the other major Cdn carriers do allow it.

If your iPhone's tariff/subscription permits tethering, you can share the Cellular data connection with other devices, such as your iPad, via the iPhone's hotspot feature.
