Yes, it still receives security updates, just not feature updates.

Feature updates means new features are introduced in the new versions of iOS. Your phone cannot be updated with new versions of the iOS, 16.7.10 is the last full update you can use.
No I don't know how long Apple will support security updates for an iPhone 8.
