All past emails have disappeared. The folders in the Mail app are there, but are empty.

When checking the storage, it indicates that Mail is consuming 2.89 GB, so it appears that the emails are somewhere, just not where I can access them.

MacBook Air, macOS 15.1

I followed your suggestion and I saw that emails were being downloaded. Thanks for that, but I don't see them where they were previously filed in my Mail account, so where did they go? For instance, for my gmail accounts, all of the emails went to the Archives folder.


I am grateful that I believe that I was able to retrieve my emails, but I still can't find them all.


Also, do you know how/why this happened in the first place?
