Hello - I have been setting up a new Mac (iMac M4) and have added my pop3 work email account to Mac Mail, my employers want me to use Outlook instead and so I have added my account through Outlook as well. I now want to remove the mbox data files from Mail Library to free up space but will this affect the data in Outlook ?

Thanks - pop3 is not by choice, it's a remnant of old IT systems managers over the years and I don't know how to change it to IMAP, or do I just set it up again, leave my old emails as pop3 on an old Mac and reference them as and when I need them ?
Why are you using POP3 instead of IMAP? I only ask because POP3 is a very old technology. With POP3, any eMails downloaded are deleted from the POP3 service. With iMAP, eMails are available to all your linked devices and left there until you delete them from your device.
