i was overwriting a short Voice Memo deliberately and the new recording had been running 3/4 hr or so when the ipad ran out of battery .I now only find the original short recording and cannot see the new one. nothing recent is in the deleted folder. Is the new recording lost or possibly retrievable?

Unless the recording was successfully saved before the iPad battery was fully exhausted, the incomplete recording will have been lost/unrecoverable.
