There is nothing for your iPhone to focus on. Focus on the side of a building, a sign, a parked car, that’s outside in good light.

You’re picking difficult conditions for a $5000 camera and lens to focus on. Twigs in a tree against a sky aren’t the easiest subjects for a camera to focus on.

Can you please try focusing on something 6 to 8 ft away and posting the image?

Are you focusing on the text on the box? Do you know how to focus on an object? Do you know how to lock focus?

Try going outside in some light. How well does it do?

This isn’t a hard assignment. I’m not asking for your previous bad photos. All camera will take bad photos and miss focus under the right (wrong?) conditions. Here’s a previous photo of mine. Notice the differences, high noon vs. sunset, light on the subject vs. backlit subject, I’ve got a fast shutter speed because I’m in great like vs. low shutter speed and a moving subject.

There probably nothing that is user fixable. Do you have an image you can share that you took outside?
