Right clicking words that are indicated as incorrectly spelled shows spelling suggestions that are completely wrong or not even a word at all. Example: giving Applee (yes two e's) for Apple, or Wellcome for Welcome. I'm on a 2017 MacBook running 13.7.1. This is a new issue.

Sometimes, in our very busy day.
We may have, inadvertently, Added the incorrectly spelled word to the dictionary
Example being, Applee
Use the Secondary Click ( sometimes referred as a Right Click in the MS Windows environment )
Once the incorrectly word has " Learned Spelling " has been added
Suggest following the advise from @BDAqua to put thing right again
