I have internet speed of nearly 1 GIG hardwired into the apple tv device but when a speed test is executed the upload and download speeds are only about 95MBS. What speeds should we expect through a apple tv?

I think the more important question is are you able to watch movies? Are they playing smoothly?
I definitely have near 1 GIG speed at the end of the cat 5 cable that plugs into the Apple TV box.
For the most part the movie viewing is ok however we do experience buffering delays
