I had an issue with iPhone 15 not texting photos to lower model of iPhone. A friend suggested changing photo format from HEIC to most compatible. That seemed to solve the problem.

That makes sense, but it must have been a MUCH lower model; All iPhones use HEIC by default since 2017.
