Deleting an app on MacBook Pro

I have old versions of software on my MacBook that I want to delete. How do I do that?

Old software might leave behind files in other system directories. To remove these:

  1. Open Finder and press Shift + Command + G to open the "Go to Folder" window.
  2. Enter the following directories one by one to look for leftover files:
    • ~/Library/Application Support
    • ~/Library/Caches
    • ~/Library/Preferences
    • ~/Library/Logs
  1. Search for files or folders related to the old software and delete them.
    • Example: If you're deleting "OldApp," look for folders or files with names like "OldApp" or the developer's name.
