iPad or MacBook air

The iPad is great for consuming media - reading, listening to music, watching video, playing games and the like. I have a couple artist friends who love using it for drawing and illustration and I’ve used it for photo light editing but prefer my desktop. I’ve found most creative software, excluding graphic software, to be rather lightweight and the keyboard solutions less than ideal. Frankly, if I’m going to travel with an iPad and keyboard I might as well travel with a notebook. That’s my take.

It's difficult to say without knowing about your intended usage. Both have their strength and weaknesses, and without further information we really can't offer any useful advice. Post back with more about what you want and need in a computing device and then we can probably provide opinions.
