Hello all, when I wish to make a comment to a YouTube video the ' visual appearance ' of the characters that I type are invisible, however when I type the characters the spacer does mover. Any help much appreciated.

and then went to YouTube and typed a comment in the comment line and presto it the type appears.
Problem solved for the moment. I dislike the light mode.
Went back to dark mode to see if the problem reappeared and it does.
I don’t believe this issue was around
when using the previous operating system. I believe it the time line for this issue was after I upgraded to
Sequoia 15….
Perhaps it will sort itself out in the next update. ?

This appears to be a YouTube problem. When in YouTube Appearance->Dark Theme the font colour doesn't update from black to white.
I'm finding the same thing on Chrome and Safari, but only on my Macbook Pro. When I use my phone it works fine.
The characters I type in a YouTube comment are there but I can't see them. If I control-a and select all they show up. But if I start typing again, they turn invisible again. If submit my comment I can see them.
I have an update on this problem, it only happens when I have the YouTube appearance mode set to Dark Theme. Not sure when this started but it never used to be like this.

Just to add, the FREE Dark Reader extension for Safari will resolve YouTube's problem.
Yep, nice work Old Toad. I purchased that extension for $5.99 - Noir installed it and I am now able to type in the make a comment bar and see what I type. Thank you so much for the guidance. I was hoping this would be a fix in the updated Sequoia. Sadly I had to buy an extension. I wonder why the problem
begun in the first place?

I can confirm Youtube has fixed the issue.
According to Randall's last post in another thread, it's supposed to be fixed by YouTube.

It's not an Apple problem. As noted in this thread it happens with multiple browsers and multiple computer platforms; macOS, Linux & Windows.

Thank you for your reply.
I used Google Chrome and the same problem still exists. Another oddity is that when I
post the invisible comment ( no characters show as I type ) and post it, the post is actually visible.
I don't have an issue on any other site or when just using my keyboard. As I type this reply all the characters
are visible as I type. It's just YouTube. In the search bar of YouTube all is good too. I can see the characters
as I type in the search bar, just the issue of not being able to see what I type in the make a comment bar.

We shouldn’t have to waste money on an extension when Apple have caused this chaos; just wrong to buy a workaround but it’s your money going down the drain.

Totally agree, I thought twice about buying the extension, especially because this problem just appeared I believe after I updated to Sequioa. There were other free extensions I could have chosen. Definitely an apple problem. Love to know when this is actually resolved by Apple?!
