Text message forwarding not working from iPhone to Mac I have text message forwarding enabled on my iPhone, so that I can send and receive messages from the phone on my Mac. But sometime in the last month or two, this has stopped working. Both devices are running the latest iOS 17.1.1 and MacOS 14.1.1. I've toggled the "text message forwarding" setting repeatedly, and restarted each device more than once. Also, there used to be an option for Messages on my Mac to start new conversations using my phone number, but I no longer see that -- only my Apple ID. I'm thinking this may be related. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Text Message Forwarding Missing After IOS26 update Ever since updating iphone to IOS26 my text messages are not syncing to my macbook. I can no longer find text message forwarding under the messages setting. I have tried all the recommended fixes like checking to see if both devices are signed in under the same sign on. Toggling text message on and off. Resyncing messages with icloud. The only thing I haven't done was check text message forwarding on my iphone because it's no longer there.

How to enable text message forwarding on my iPhone for my Mac? Usually I was able to receive SMS (not iMessage) on my Mac. Not sure if since updating (to Ventura) but now, no more SMS come in on my Mac...(but only on my iPhone) As some posts (from support.apple.com) suggest one should: "On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages. · Tap Text Message Forwarding. Turn on your Mac in the list of devices." But there is no "Text Message Forwarding"... under the Message settings... [Re-Titled by Moderator]
