iPhone 16 pro max not charging in my car
My iPhone 16 pro max does not charge on my cars wireless charger. It will charge for about 10 seconds and then stop. Is this a me problem or an apple problem?

Depending on the size of the mat and the area that surrounds it (if it’s in a cubby or defined space) it’s possible that your Pro Max is too big to fit on it properly. Try adjusting the way you place it on it. If you have a case on it try taking it off to see if that is the issue. I’m not aware of an iOS issue with wireless charging in some vehicles like there was with iOS 17 for a little while but if after trying all possible actions to try and get it to work and you can verify that the charger works on other non-16 Pro Max devices or your Pro Max can charge on other wireless chargers (cars preferably) then reach out to Apple directly for further assistance. It’s very possible though that the issue is your wireless charger mat in your car….if the device can’t fit properly on it to connect with the charging coils no matter what position you put the phone on it then there isn’t an issue to fix. Your phone is just to big/long to work properly with the mat in your car or it’s space confinement. You can also check support forums for your car to see if others have experienced the same issue

Is it sitting flat on the mat? If not, that’s probably the issue. Try to get it closer to the mat and more parallel to the surface.
Apple development clearly messed up here.
I have three different cars and in none of them the wireless charging works. No major issues with older iPhones (other than the typical overheating issue 🤬).
Dear Apple engineers: Don‘t you own/drive cars? 🤷🏻♂️ Do something about the wireless charging and the overheating (on older phones) please!!! When I streamed music in my iPhone 15 Pro Max and it was warm outside and I was driving in my roadster, the phone would overheat after half an hour or so.
Here‘s an idea for aftermarket accesories manufacturers: Make a case for the iPhone 16 Pro Max to allow wireless charging. I bet there is a possibility to develop a special case to make this happen. It would be a huge bussiness because as far as I know, basically ALL owners of the new 16 Pro Max are affected.
I have a 16 Pro Max and it works fine in my Lexus and GMC Yukon XL. Millions of iPhones have been sold and there’s a handful of posts with feedback on the issue.
