How do I get the raise wrist action to go to my watch face. Right now it is showing a backtrack app that I don't want.

You can double click the Digital Crown to show the recent apps, then swipe the Backtrack app to the left and tap on the X to close it.

Then check Settings/General/Return To Clock and enable "Always"

Scroll down to the Compass App and disable "Return To App" in "When In Session"

I changed the settings for the Action Button on my Apple Watch Ultra 2, so that the Backtrack App does not start if this button is pressed accidentally.
