Synchronize two separate calendars

Both my husband and I have an iPhone (he for the first time 🥳). Is there a way that we can synchronize our calendars so that we can both see our respective appointments?

iPhone 15, iOS 18

Each of you can share a calendar - or multiple calendars - to the other. When you accept the invitation to share the calendar will appear in the Calendar app as if it were you own calendar. You will need to do this for each calendar in the app separately. There is no need to stop at one. My family shares about a dozen different calendars, for example.

See Apple's instructions in Share iCloud calendars on iPhone. Scroll down to the heading Share an iCloud calendar and follow the steps.
