Unable to receive OTP on my iPhone
It’s been a year that i am having this dilemma. I cannot receive OTP and already did all the basic troubleshooting. Anyone can help before i lose interest in this phone.

This is either the App or the cellular service provider who is to be blamed. Please contact them.
You need to have an SMS/MMS plan enabled by your carrier for the SIM/eSIM that you use on your device. Apple Inc does not provide SMS/MMS services.

Those would be strictly SMS messages that is controlled by your cellular provider as long as the bank/app is sending the OTP code to the correct number. From personal experience, I have had my home phone number set up on a bank account and they were sending the OTP code to that number which was not able to receive text messages.. Do you have trouble sending/receiving other SMS (Green) messages?
Is the OTP that you expect for signing into your Apple Account or for some other service? For the Apple Account the code is sent directly to any other Trusted Device and if you do not have another Trusted Device, then you have to choose "Didn't Get a Code", then it will be sent to your Trusted Phone Number that you used to initially set up Two Factor Authentication for your Apple Account.
Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support
None sure what steps you have tried or if the code you are expecting is from a service other than your Apple Account.

Mobile brand/model selection is an individual choice based on many parameters. Such as Money, Feature, Status, Aesthetic, Utility, User-Friendliness, Availability, Warranty Coverage, Service Support, Resale value, Technology and many other factors. Choose yours judiciously!
OTP with banks, apps, any sort app that requires OTP. I could not receive it.
