Letter accents on iPad Magic Keyboard

My iPad magic keyboard no longer lets me add accents on letters. Holding down the key does not work anymore, I don’t know what I should be doing about this.

Everything was working, but all of a sudden the letters a s d f g h j k l are not working on the Magic Keyboard. I saw on some threads/videos that I should try restarting my iPad or holding/pressing the control button but nothing has worked. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks for any assistance!

Caps lock not working on my magic keyboard for ipad pro. When I try to use caps lock it would instead change the language i’m typing in and not put it into caps. Is there any way to fix it?

Make sure that Key Repeat is ON in your accessibility settings

Does press and hold on the screen keyboard still work?

Do the option key shortcuts on the Magic Keyboard still work (option e then e should produce é)?
