how can i move the contents of a slideshow project into an album on photos on my macbook?

I've been adding to the project directly and the system is randomly reordering the photos (there are 800) ... I need to get everything back into an album so I can order the photos chronologically.

iPhone SE, iOS 17

Open the project, click on a picture, ⌘-A to select all, then File>New Album with Selection.

They won't be in the order they were in with the slideshow project.

I use titles. I use  Photos Workbench($30) to batch add titles with automatic indexing-- like Charlie's DisneyLand Vacation jSlideshow -001, or something like that. There are lots of options for doing titles with filenames, dates, etc.

There are also scripts that people from here-- mostly Old Toad and léonie-- have written to do all sorts of things. If you go to Thematic Index to Photos for Mac related … - Apple Community and search "sequential" you'll find a few you might be able to use.

Then you sort by title.
