iPad Air (M2) incompatibility with Apple (by Logitec Combo Touch Keyboard

Just bought a Combo Touch Keyboard Case for the new iPad Air at the Carlsbad Forum Apple Store. Worked fine for a week but yesterday, an on-screen keyboard has taken over ½ of the screen, the space bar doesn’t function unless I hold down the shift key, etc. I took the iPad Air, (M2), receipts from last week to the store tonight. The Customer Service chap had not seen this anomaly when he connected the iPad and Combo Touch by Logitec and pulled another Combo Touch off the shelf and did the exchange (with receipt documentation). When I got home, I discovered the Combo Touch box had already been opened (return? display???). I connected the iPad to the keyboard and all the same anomalies occurred as with the other keypad (that box was still factory sealed when I bought it last week). I am unhappy. Looking for any suggestions other than returning both the iPad and Combo Touch to Apple and going back to an old fashion working laptop. Help or suggestions welcomed, John
