I recently bought apple watch series 10 2 months back. Yesterday I saw black flakes on my wrist, when i saw the watch, it was shedding paint. Upon looking closely i saw blisters under the paint and today two blister popped up taking out more paint. What should i do?

Apple Watch Series 10 has switched from using ceramic material to using metal for the back surface. This may increase the increase for exposure to allergens. It also increases the possibility of moisture, sweat and other environmental factors from interacting with the anodizing applied to aluminum. Acid interacts with anodizing and I suspect that your skin and sweat are slightly acidic. Have a doctor check the pH of your skin and sweat.
I’ve been in and around the camera industry since 1979. I’ve seen peoples fingers and hands peel paint of cameras in weeks. When manufactures transitioned to polymers (plastic) they skin etched the coverings and the plastic.
I’m just saying it’s a possibility and I wouldn’t jump to conclusions. Your best path forward is a conversation with Apple as AppleJames suggests. I would also visit an Apple Store if convenient and a conversation with a store manager.
It could be a product defect and it might not be. I haven’t seen the product and neither has an Apple representative. So, everyone here is just guessing at possible causes. Please let us know what you find out.

Sorry, but there's nothing else you can do. Apple's warranty does explicitly say that issues that are strictly cosmetic are not covered. Unless and until Apple comes back with a resolution, then annoying as we understand this issue to be, you'll either have to live with the defects or sell your Watch.

Unless the peeling coating affects whether and how the Apple Watch works, then Apple will consider the problem to be cosmetic. But regardless of what any of us think, there is nothing anyone here, who are all just fellow users, can do to help you, and if Apple has refused service, then you're at a dead end.

James and Jeff, he said that he contacted Apple Support and been told that the issue would be escalated to Apple Engineering, and he also said that he's been to an official Apple Store and had a warranty claim refused. So absent someone being able to provide a specific escalation contact at Apple, it would seem that he's at a dead end, as unfortunate (and arguably incorrect) as that may be.

There’s a number of possibilities. Aluminum Watches are anodized, but the color does go through. It’s a surface coating and if scratched you can see the bare aluminum. Anodizing is not a paint and does not peel or blister. Anodizing is subject to corrosive action from acids. But an anodized water bottle in orange juice and the color dissolves.
But the bottom material is new and not the ceramic material of previous series. Could it be a painted surface? I don’t know.
I tried going to Apple Saket in Delhi, but they straight away told me its a cosmetic damage and we cannot do anything about it, without even an inspection. I also tried calling apple support but that just tells me that we have escalated to our internal engineering team. That’s it. I am very frustrated and don’t want to have a defective product with me. Any suggestions what to do now?

But isn’t a cosmetic damage and defective product two different things. I mean i have used apple watches for the past 9 year and my friends are also using it, I haven’t seen or experienced a cosmetic wear and tear that peels off the whole paint. Even my iphone have dents but the paint is still intact
Thanks Jeff. I’ll get it checked. But in that case people won’t be able to wear the watches at all in future. And pardon if i am being adamant, but i still believe whatever the case maybe, a product that is 2 months old should not have such an issue. That means the quality of apple is below subpar now, the products are not worth 50k

So it seems doubtful that he's sent the Watch anywhere, though he'll need to confirm.
I noted that too. But then he said he’d have it checked, and I was unclear of the status. It also doesn’t seem like engineering has responded. I wonder if engineering has the Watch to examine it.
