I've been using an iMac running macOS Monterey 12.7.6 to work with ACDSee Mac Photo Studio 9. Recently, I upgraded to ACDSee Mac 11, but I was unable to install it since it is not supported. Is it possible for a software update or patch to be developed to address this issue? Thanks Mike.

Did you check with ACDSee to see if the update to ACDSee Mac 11 would work on Monterey?
Monterey is 4 systems from the current one and will not be getting any more updates of any kind. You'll have to upgrade your Mac's system to Ventura which will run ACDSee Mac 11, continue using the version you had or upgrade your Mac to a Apple refurbished iMac or a new Silicon Mac.
What model and year is your iMac?
Also, Apple engineers are not here. This is a user to user support forum. We're all end users like your self. If you want to tell Apple your request use Feedback - macOS - Apple.

So the answer to "can Apple please update the macOS Monterey 12.7.6 to work with acdsee Mac 11" is "No." It is the vendor, not Apple, who made the decision to cut off support for Monterey.
If the OP wants to run ACD Photo Studio for Mac 11, the next question would be whether it is possible to install a newer version of macOS on their 27" iMac. The OP has not told us the hardware release year of this iMac - but based on the information that it is a 27" iMac running Monterey, it must have been released some time between Late 2015 and 2020.
To make a long story short, you need a 2017 or later iMac to install and run ACDSee Mac Photo Studio 11.
Thank you for following up regarding my inquiry about ACDSee and whether updating to ACDSee Mac 11 would work on Monterey. Unfortunately, the software was a gift from my son, as I’m using his old computer. I was hoping to avoid purchasing a new version since this one works perfectly for my needs. However, it seems I won’t be able to install another version on my current computer. Cheers! Mike
You could still use the old version if you have a backup of your hard drive with Time Machine. Just go back in time till just before you installed the update and restore the old version.
I'm not sure I understand I already have macOS Monterey 12.7.6.. Are you saying rollback to a older version?
He meant roll back to ACDSee Mac Photo Studio 9 from Time Machine if you can.
