I had an iPhone 12, and just recently got the iPhone 15+. When I used to delete my messages from my Apple Watch, they would stay on my phone, which is what I wanted. I have unselected “mirror my iPhone” but when I delete the messages from my watch, they are also deleted from my phone. How can I keep them on the phone?

This is not possible I am afraid because iMessages are syncing across your devices
