USB pendrive 2TB useless

I have a HP branded USB pendrive of 2 TB.

It takes forever to initiate the drive and it can't be handled in Disk Utility.

I managed to format it to APFS in order to use it for backup.

But backup doesn't work with the drive.

Then I tried to use it just as a storage for data, that was not a success either.

I tried with several formats, MS Dos, ExFat, MacOS all with the same results.

Sometimes the disk disappears in Disk Utility

In short I can't use the drive.

Could any person pls help me and advise how to handle this issue?
