Why is my AppleTV 4K Ethernet speed capped at 96Mbps?

I have an appletv 4K with Ethernet port directly connected to my Gigabit router using a cat5e cable. But still the max speed caps at 96Mbps. Using WiFi I’m able to get 360Mbps. Why is the gigabit Ethernet port limited to 100Mbit?!

The Apple TV box that you have selected as relevant device for this post, is not 4K, but Apple TV HD (4th generation) [A1625], which is ‘limited’ in its ethernet port:

In daily practice, about 8 Mbps should be enough for 1080p SDR that this model can use anyway.
