Bookmarks bar is missing on Chrome after iOS 18.1.1 update

I have a iPad Pro 11 and recently updated to version 18.1.1 and noticed when opening Chrome my bookmarks bar was missing after reviewing some suggestions on the Apple forums I noticed that my chrome start page did not have the … dots at the top to add “Show Book Marks” I then deleted Chrome and re installed it still nothing but when reviewing the bookmarks tab all of my bookmarks are showing, my Desktop is a Dell all in one chrome is showing my bookmarks bar? Can anyone suggest a fix?
