How to disable Touch ID for Safari on iPad 5th Gen?

when i open Safari on my iPad 5 it requires me to use Touch ID to open safari. How do i turn it off?

Most likely your using "Private Browsing", if you open a regular tab, it won't require Touch ID. If you want to continue using Private Browsing, but minus the authentication, then head over to settings. Then scroll down to Apps. Then look for Safari. Tap on it, then scroll down till you see "Require Touch ID For Private Browsing". Disable it.

My iPad Air started requiring Touch ID authentication to open safari window even though I just signed in the iPad using my Touch ID. Every time I let Safari sit for a few seconds it requires Touch ID to open, for instance switch over to read a email. This started after iOS 18 update. It does not require me to use Touch ID to open Google browser just Safari. I’ve turned off private browsing
