Why did my web page translation suddenly stop working on my Mac?

when I double click a word on a webpage it used to provide a automated translation but today it failed to translate all of a sudden and I don't know what happened.

Have you tried to translate using these instructions:


Translate text

You can easily translate text in different apps on Mac, including some third-party apps. You can also use Live Text to translate text in an image.

  1. Select the text you want to translate.
  2. Control-click the selected text, then choose Translate [text].
  3. From the language pop-up menus, choose the language of the text you’re translating and the language you want to translate it into.


This is the built in macOS translation when using Safari , double click to translate is most likely a google chrome extension.
