iPhone 14 Pro Max not playing ringing tone during calls

My iphone 14 pro max started something new, you know how when you call someone and your hear the ringing tone until they answer? And if you watched the progression on your dial or call screen when you tap the green icon to call & at the top it reads calling or dialing number then it changes when they answer….

well now when I call someone it is complete silence till they answer..no ringing…which that was the only way you know your phone is calling that number….however to be in complete silence till they answer is completely confusing & questioning ….is my phone working?

this just started and I don’t know the reason why lol
