How to use a Thunderbolt 2012 cinema display monitor on a MAC STUDIO


I'm trying to use a CinemaDisplay Thunderbolt monitor on a MacStudio M2, what would be the best solution?

Is it a led Cinema Display or a Thunderbolt Display? This is important to know as some fixes work with the Thunderbolt Display (as in, use a thunderbolt 2 to usb c adapter) that are not necessarily working with the LED Cinema Display


For the thunderbolt display, use Apple's thunderbolt 2 to USB c cable to connect the display to your new Mac


For the LED Cinema Display you'll want a mini DisplayPort to USB C but they are a lot harder to get and they're not available via Apple
