Wired Game Controller & Hub for iPad Air 2024

Hi, I'm about to buy a new Ipad Air 2024, and want to set it up for gaming. I'm wanting to link it to the TV and have 2 controllers. I'd ideally like 2 wired controllers, but if can't then bluetooth is fine. If using the hub, I'd also like to connect an ethernet cable too. So a USB-C hub with hdmi (30fps or 60fps?), probably 2 x USB-A (depends on controller compatibility), and ideally ethernet too. Also, would the hub need to be powered so have a PD port too.

So my questions are, can you have this type of hub setup on the Air? If so, can anyone recommend a compatible hub? Also, I'm not fussy on the controllers, maybe just older PS or Xbox controllers, but what would be compatible? Answers to any of these queries would help! Thanks

When choosing a USB-C hub for iPad, always check that the manufacturer explicitly lists compatibility with iPad. While many USB-C hubs work well with iPad and iPadOS, some can be problematic.

Of the available manufacturers that specifically support Apple device - and explicitly iPad - perhaps consider Satechi who have a particularly good track record. Here is one candidate hub that meets your specific criteria:

That’s great, and the Satechi one looks really good, and can get that model in the UK for only £12. I emailed Satechi, as it doesn’t say it’s compatible with the new 6th generation Air, but they replied to say all their products are, they just haven’t updated their site as yet with those details. So thanks for the tips, and especially the link to Satechi.
