Disable swipe between apps using the bottom line

Especially while playing video or audio in apps or browsers I get always in conflict between content controls and the bar at the bottom.

In those situations I maybe swipe through video content using a timeline which is usually at the bottom

when I get to the middle the finger touches that line on the bottom that usually is present in every app -

bringing me from the actual app to the next or to the previous app.

This is absolutely disturbing and during the last years after the great home button vanished I never had a situation where I wanted such a kind of behavior.

I never found any way or hint to disable that "functionality".

This is extremely stressful while using the iPad as a music instrument in live performances.
