How to edit photo group names and remove photos from incorrect categories on my iPhone?

Similar to previous discussions. iPhone “trips” groups photos into categories. How can I edit the name of the category (for example one set of trips is named Syria, when the photos were taken on the Appalachian trail in VA)? And how do I remove photos from certain groups (for example a friend sent photos of her trip to the a Dominican Republic, which are grouped with photos of my WV property where I was located while she was in the Dominican Republic)?

These "collections" are made by Apple, and we can't change them. They seem to be kind of experimental, grabbing pictures with lots of random content. It is what it is, and the best thing we can do is make our own albums for the trips. Then we can name them how we want and put them in an order that makes sense.

On my iPhone I just turned off Trips, and I rely on my own albums. Being able to turn off stuff we don't like is a great new feature on the iPhone! But that's not available on Macs and iPads which have sidebars. So on my Mac and iPad, I just ignore the little Trips icon.

Trips on my Mac seem better than the ones on my iPad. The ones on my iPhone seem the most crazy. There, I have a "trip" labeled "Boston & South Padre Island" and another labeled "San Diego & Chanute" (Chanute, Kansas.) These seem to be pictures I had later scanned all on the same day. But others are more reasonable.

They are named by location, but the trips had more meaning than just that. "Nina's Wedding" would be way more useful than "Starkville," for instance. I agree with elainefromdunn that we ought to be able, at least, to add our own more meaningful names.
